HORSHOLM, DENMARK — Chr. Hansen will investigate the possibility of divesting its activities in the excipients and coatings business, including a production facility in Stoughton, Wis., the company said May 31. The products are non-active components used in the pharmaceutical and related industries for tablet manufacturing.
"A sale will allow Chr. Hansen to focus on its three focus areas of cultures and enzymes, natural colors and natural flavors," said Lars Frederiksen, chief executive officer.
