BATTLE CREEK, MICH. — The Kellogg Co. is adding a new production line to its plant in Wyoming, Mich., which will help the company’s production of cereal bars.

The plant is a former Holland American Wafer Co. facility that Kellogg acquired in 2005. The plant already produces Nutri-Grain fruit and nut bars, Kellogg crunchy nut sweet and salty bars and Rice Krispies Treats peanut butter bars. The new production line will produce these products as well, according to Kris Charles, Kellogg spokesperson.

Ms. Charles said the company looks to optimize its manufacturing network and the new line addition will help achieve that goal.
