SAN FRANCISCO — Kikkoman International, Inc. launched Kikkoman Less Sodium Soy Sauce, a fat free, low-calorie, low sodium soy sauce.
"The natural brewing and aging process that adds layers of flavor to regular Kikkoman Soy Sauce does the same thing for the less sodium version," said Ken Saito, president of Kikkoman International, Inc. "Although there is 40% less sodium in this version, careful aging allows it to retain the nuanced flavors and quality characteristics of naturally brewed soy sauce."
The goal of the new soy sauce is to be an alternative to high-fat condiments such as creamy dressings or butter.
