DUBLIN, OHIO — Wendy’s is expanding its breakfast menu to more than 75 additional restaurants in the U.S. this month.
Wendy’s originally tested its breakfast menu at around 160 restaurants in five markets.
"Breakfast is the fastest growing business segment in the quick-service restaurant category, and we’re raising the bar by introducing a fresh, delicious, premium-quality breakfast menu," said Kerrii Anderson, Wendy’s chief executive officer and president. "We believe it’s a better breakfast, and the positive customer reaction that we’ve received so far bears this out."
The company is proceeding with the expected timing of its breakfast menu and anticipates offering breakfast in more than 650 restaurants by the end of August.
Wendy’s breakfast items include a steak and egg breakfast sandwich, a big breakfast sandwich, a Grande breakfast burrito, French toast sticks and more. With its breakfast menu, the company will be offering Folgers coffee, which will be available throughout the day at Wendy’s restaurants that serve breakfast.
