Burger King names four to s.v.p. positions

MIAMI — Burger King Corp. has named Mike Kappitt, Jonathan Fitzpatrick, John Reckert and Chris Anderson to senior leadership positions in different departments.

Mr. Kappitt has been named senior vice-president, global business intelligence and strategy in the marketing department. He was most recently vice-president of consumer insights and performance analysis for Burger King. He now will be responsible for overseeing consumer insights and performance analytics globally in addition to trade area analytics that inform development decisions. He also will keep his responsibilities for global sales forecasting and pricing decisions for new and existing products.

Mr. Fitzpatrick has been named senior vice-president, development and franchising in the development department. For the last two years, he has been vice-president of information technology. In his new position, he will work to strengthen restaurant development and remodels, real estate management, construction, franchising and market planning.

Mr. Reckert has been named senior vice-president, global operations research and development in the operations department. In his work for the company, Mr. Reckert was responsible for the introduction of the Have It Your Way technology, which included converting company restaurants to new flexible batch broilers.

Mr. Anderson has been named senior vice-president of finance and will be responsible for oversight of risk management, franchise finance and credit and collections and will continue his work managing the company’s consolidation, external reporting and U.S.A. Accounting groups.
