COPENHAGEN, DENMARK — Danisco has signed an agreement to acquire the shares in Innovative Ingredients, a bakery enzymes formulator in Cape Town, South Africa. The company operates a blending facility and a bakery laboratory.
Danisco plans to merge its existing sales office in Cape Town with Innovative Ingredients. The agreement is expected to be concluded by the middle of August.
"The acquisition of Innovative Ingredients will significantly strengthen Danisco’s presence in the South African industrial bakery enzymes market that ranks fifth in size worldwide," said Lars Obel, business director, Food & Beverage Enzymes, Danisco.
