ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. — Unilever introduced Promise activ SuperShots, a mini-drink with fruit and yogurt containing natural plant sterols designed to lower cholesterol.
The drink contains 2 grams of plant sterols per serving and comes in three flavors: strawberry, peach and raspberry. Plant sterols have developed a reputation for having the ability to lower cholesterol.
The product is available in the dairy aisle of retail grocery stores and is about $3.99 for a four-pack.
"Promise activ SuperShots represent a significant expansion of the Promise brand in the United States," said Eric Berman, brand director for Promise. "Our mission is to deliver delicious foods that can aid in the overall improvement of heart health."
