Devine and Maurice to new posts at Hormel

AUSTIN, MINN. — Hormel Foods Corp. recently announced several personnel changes.
Michael Devine has been named director of operations strategy for the grocery products division, effective Sept. 1. In this newly created position, Mr. Devine will develop strategies for the company’s shelf-stable products, which includes such brands as Dinty Moore beef stew, Hormel bacon bits, Hormel chili, Hormel chunk chicken, ham and turkey, Hormel Compleats, Spam, Stagg chili and Valley Fresh chunk chicken.
"Mike’s knowledge of the operations side of our business gained over many years as Stockton’s plant manager has equipped him with the experience necessary to develop and lead our operations strategy," said Russell Potter, vice-president of operations, grocery products.
James Maurice has been named Hormel’s food service Western regional manager, effective Aug. 20. He is currently the food service area manager in Los Angeles.
"Jim’s breadth of experience in sales and marketing and dedication in our Hormel Foods’ food service division made him a great choice to manage our key relationships in the Western region," said Steve Binder, group vice-president, refrigerated foods.
