Schlafer to g.m. of General Mills Bakery Channels

MINNEAPOLIS — Greg Schlafer has been named director and general manager of Bakery Channels of the General Mills, Inc. Bakeries and Foodservice Division.

Mr. Schlafer will be responsible for business segments that include in-store baking, wholesale baking, bakery flour and fresh bread solution, and he will oversee the Pillsbury Baking Institute.

Most recently, Mr. Schlafer was the director of the in-store bakery segment. He began his career with General Mills in 1991 as a distribution management assistant at the company’s Los Angeles flour mill. He held several sales positions in Bakery Channels and was appointed director of Bakery Flour in 2003.
