DUBLIN, OHIO — Expansion of Wendy’s breakfast menu is "on track with where we had planned," said Kerrii Anderson, the company’s chief executive officer and president.
Wendy’s originally tested its breakfast menu at around 160 restaurants in five markets, and has now added the menu to 500 stores nationwide. The company expects to expand to nearly 750 U.S. and Canadian locations by the end of the third quarter of 2007.
"Reaching the 500-store level is a milestone, but far more gratifying is the repeat business we’re experiencing and the continuing positive feedback from customers about our fresh, high quality breakfast menu," Ms. Anderson said.
Wendy’s breakfast items include a steak and egg breakfast sandwich, a big breakfast sandwich, a Grande breakfast burrito, cinnamon rolls, french toast sticks and more. With its breakfast menu, the company will be offering Folgers coffee, which will be available throughout the day at Wendy’s restaurants that serve breakfast.
