Zonneveld joins MGPI as c.f.o.; Cahill to new post

ATCHISON, KAS. — Robert Zonneveld has been named vice-president of finance and administration and chief financial officer at MGP Ingredients, Inc.
In a move that will become effective Sept. 17, Mr. Zonneveld will replace Brian Cahill, who will move to the newly created position of executive vice-president of the company’s Distillery segment.
Mr. Zonneveld, who has experience both at publicly-traded and private companies, most recently was c.f.o. at the Gowan Co., Yuma, Ariz., an international marketer of crop protection products. From 1995 to 2005, Mr. Zonneveld was with Standard Commercial Corp., a leaf tobacco merchandising and processing company based in Wilson, N.C. He joined Standard as manager of business planning and was promoted in 1998 to vice-president of finance. Earlier, Mr. Zonneveld held positions at Dimon, Inc., Danville, Va., and at TEIC U.S., A Dimon subsidiary.
A graduate of Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C., Mr. Zonneveld has a bachelor of science degree in accounting and business management.
After his 1989 graduation, Mr. Zonneveld spent a year as a staff auditor for BDO Seidman in Greensboro. He is a certified public accountant.
