Campbell's board hikes quarterly dividend 10%

CAMDEN, N.J. — The board of directors of the Campbell Soup Co. on Thursday approved a 10% increase in the company’s quarterly dividend to 22c per share from 20c per share. The quarterly dividend is payable Oct. 29 to shareholders of record at the close of business on Oct. 9. On an annual basis, the dividend will increase to 88c per share from 80c per share.
Douglas R. Conant, Campbell’s president and chief executive officer, said the dividend increase reflects "strong financial performance" and "confidence in Campbell’s future."
