ConAgra acquires Lincoln Snacks

OMAHA — ConAgra Foods, Inc. acquired Chicago-based Lincoln snacks, the manufacturer of the Poppycock and Fiddle Faddle brands of popcorn snacks. Terms of the acquisition were not released.

Lincoln Snacks has approximately $45 million in annual sales, and has a manufacturing facility in Lincoln, Neb. ConAgra said the facility will continue to produce the two brands.

"This acquisition positions ConAgra Foods to further meet consumer demand for snacks," said Gary Rodkin, chief executive officer of ConAgra Foods. "We plan to grow Poppycock and Fiddle Faddle through our marketing expertise and operating infrastructure."

ConAgra also owns the Orville Redenbacher and Act II brands of popcorn.
