Freeland succeeds Klein as president, c.e.o. of I.R.I.

CHICAGO — Information Resources, Inc. (I.R.I.), a global provider of information, insights and decision solutions for the consumer packaged goods industry, has named John Freeland president and chief executive officer. He succeeds Scott W. Klein, who will depart to join Symphony Technology Group as an operating partner. Symphony acquired I.R.I. in 2003.

Mr. Freeland joins I.R.I. from, where he was president of worldwide operations. Earlier, he spent 26 years with Accenture, most recently as global managing partner.

"I believe I.R.I.’s growth prospects are very strong, including many new and untapped areas of opportunity, and I am pleased to be working with such a visionary, passionate, and highly motivated leadership team," Mr. Freeland said.
