DOWNERS GROVE, ILL. — Jimmy Dean, a brand of Sara Lee Corp., is introducing Jimmy Dean D-lights, which are "better-for-you" frozen breakfast sandwiches.
The sandwiches come in three flavors — Turkey Sausage, Canadian Bacon and Black Forest Ham — and have one-third fewer calories and half the fat of the leading breakfast sandwich, according to the company.
Jimmy Dean D-lights may be found in the frozen breakfast aisle at grocery stores across the country.
"To continue to meet consumers’ ever-changing breakfast needs and satisfy the growing desire for a traditional and sensible breakfast, we have developed D-lights breakfast sandwiches that offer the great taste that consumers expect from Jimmy Dean but with fewer calories and less fat," said Philippe Schaillee, vice-president of breakfast and snacking for Sara Lee Food & Beverage.
