Mark Kolkhorst named president of ADM Milling

OVERLAND PARK, KAS. — Mark Kolkhorst has been named president of ADM Milling Co., Overland Park. In his new position, Mr. Kolkhorst will report to Mark Bemis, vice-president of cocoa, malt and milling at Archer Daniels Midland Co., Decatur, Ill., the parent company to ADM Milling.
Mr. Kolkhorst succeeds Craig A. Fischer at ADM Milling. Mr. Fischer, a 34-year veteran of ADM, had held the post since September 2001.
Since 1985, Mr. Kolkhorst has been president of the specialty feed ingredients division at ADM. His 21 years at the company include a range of management positions in grain merchandising, including vice-president of both ADM/Growmark and Tabor Grain. He was named vice-president of sales for the specialty feed ingredients in 2001. Mr. Kolkhorst received a bachelor of science degree in agribusiness from Illinois State University, Normal, Ill.
Mr. Kolkhorst’s was one of seven ADM executive appointments announced by the company Sept. 11.
Mr. Fischer’s plans to retire were first announced as part of a management restructuring detailed last month.
