NORWALK, CONN. — Pepperidge Farm has expanded its lineup of whole grain products to eight with the launch of three new Whole Grain White bread varieties — Whole Grain White Very Thin, Whole Grain White Sandwich and Whole Grain White Light Style.
Each serving of the bread has 51% whole wheat flour, 11 to 14 grams of whole grains, 3 grams of fiber, zero grams trans fat and no cholesterol, artificial colors or flavors.
"Consumers love the taste of white bread, but are looking to healthier, more nutritious options for themselves and their families," said Ruthann Walsh, Pepperidge Farm business director, bakery. "We’re so pleased to be able to satisfy consumers’ demand for nutritious whole grains in our popular, premium quality Pepperidge Farm breads. And because our Whole Grain White varieties look and taste like white bread, it’s an easy way for moms to incorporate whole grains into their kids’ lunches without sacrificing taste."
The new Pepperidge Farm Whole Grain White bread is available at major supermarkets, grocery stores and mass merchandisers nationwide. Whole Grain White Very Thin and Whole Grain White Light Style have a suggested retail price of $3.19 a loaf, while the Whole Grain White Sandwich has a suggested retail price of $2.79 a loaf.
