CHICAGO — The Quaker Oats Co. has launched all-natural Quaker Simple Harvest, an instant, multigrain hot cereal that marks the first time nationwide Quaker will share its bowl with other grains. Whole grain Quaker oats, whole grain wheat and barley are combined with nuts and fruit.
"We know consumers are looking for simplicity in the foods they eat," said Dave Kimbell, marketing director for Quaker Breakfast. "That’s why Quaker Simple Harvest is a natural step for a company like us that is committed to providing long-term health and human sustainability."
Each 1.5-oz pouch of Quaker Simple Harvest provides a full serving of whole grains (20 grams), 4 grams of dietary fiber, 4 grams of protein, and is low in sodium and saturated fat.
Quaker Simple Harvest is available at grocery stores nationwide this month for a suggested retail price of $4.39 per 8-count box. It is available in three varieties: apples with cinnamon, maple brown sugar with pecans and vanilla, almond and honey.
