LENEXA, KAS. — Caravan Ingredients, a manufacturer and supplier of bakery and food ingredients, specialty chemicals, polymer additives and specialty blending equipment, announced it will raise the selling prices of its emulsifier and lactylate products.
"The price increase was inevitable due to spiraling raw material costs," said Ian Trood, vice-president of sales, Caravan Ingredients. "Given the current market conditions a price increase of between 20% and 30% is expected, although the actual cost increases will vary by product based upon the market driven cost inputs."
Caravan said the price increases will take effect Nov. 1 for all products not covered by supply contracts.
