WILKES-BARRE, PA. ― George Foreman Enterprises Inc. and Northern Foods P.L.C., a large food processor in the United Kingdom, have formed an exclusive licensing agreement for the U.K. under which Northern Foods will launch a line of nine frozen chicken, meat and fish products called George Foreman Lean Mean Grillers.
The food line features meals such as Southern Style Chicken. The products will be marketed to consumers looking for a healthier alternative, but who still want the convenience frozen food provides.
"We believe Northern Foods’ record of developing new and innovative products combined with the massive popularity of George Foreman will result in a very successful product launch," said Efrem Gerszberg, president of George Foreman Enterprises Inc.
The George Foreman Lean Mean Grillers will be available at most major retailers in the U.K. in the coming months.
"I am excited about the opportunity to provide consumers with healthier food choices without sacrificing taste, and I am proud to have an established company like Northern Foods as my partner," said Mr. Foreman.
