Pepsi Bottling Ventures to acquire Vermont bottler

RALEIGH, N.C. — Pepsi Bottling Ventures, L.L.C. has signed a letter of intent to buy the assets of the L.E. Farrell Co., a Pepsi-Cola franchise bottler based in Burlington, Vt.

"By combining the resources of Pepsi-Cola Burlington with those of P.B.V., we will create an even stronger entity, which will be better equipped to meet the needs of our customers, employees and the communities we service," said Keith Reimer, president and chief executive officer of Pepsi Bottling Ventures.

The bottler in Vermont has annual revenues of more than $27 million.
