LINCOLNSHIRE, ILL. — Purac announced it will raise the prices of its lactic acid, lactates, gluconic acid and gluconates products by approximately 5% to 10%. The new prices will take effect Oct. 8, or as sales contracts allow.

"In recent years production costs have increased substantially due to higher costs for carbohydrates, energy, auxiliary chemicals and packaging resulting in the necessity to increase the sales prices of our products," the company said.
