Samuel to direct nutrition sciences at The Solae Co.

ST. LOUIS — The Solae Co. announced Dr. Priscilla Samuel has joined the company as director of nutrition sciences.
"Dr. Samuel brings more than 10 years of experience in the food nutrition research sector, and Solae is excited to have her as part of our team," said Dr. Jon McIntyre, vice-president or research and development. "She has a great mix of experience in nutrition research, project management, product development and scientific affairs that will drive Solae’s technical strategy."
Prior to joining Solae, Dr. Samuel was the senior principal nutrition scientist in global regulatory, nutrition science and policy at Mead Johnson Nutritionals/Bristol-Myers Squibb for the past three years. She also has worked for PepsiCo International, Quaker Foods & Tropicana Beverages; The Quaker Oats Co.; and The Kellogg Co.
She received her doctorate degree in human nutrition, with a double minor in business/marketing and public health, from the University of Tennessee in 1996. She has a master of science degree in human Nutrition from the University of North Carolina and a bachelor of science degree with a double major in nutrition and dietetics and child development from Banglore University in Bangalore, India.
