ROSEMONT, ILL. — U.S. Foodservice will invest $100 million in new capital projects to expand operations, including building a new facility in Ogden, Utah, and expanding its current facilities in Boca Ration, Fla. and Plymouth, Minn.
"These major investments will position us well for the future in the fast-growing U.S. markets," said Robert Aiken, president and chief executive officer of U.S. Foodservice. "They will increase our capacity significantly and provide state-of-the-art facilities to enhance service to customers."
These new projects are in addition to projects under way in Raleigh, N.C., Dallas, Oklahoma City and Las Vegas and are part of a capital expansion program.
The new facility in Utah will replace a current facility in Clearfield, Utah. The company also will add 123,000 square feet to the Florida facility and 100,000 square feet to the Minnesota facility.
