LA JOLLA, CALIF — Kashi is expanding its pizza options with three new all-natural thin crust frozen pizzas.
The pizza crusts are made with whole grains and have vegetarian toppings. The new flavor options include roasted vegetable, mushroom trio and spinach, and tomato garlic cheese.
"Our new thin crust pizzas feature a light, crispy crust that’s made with our unique blend of Seven Whole Grain and Sesame plus flax seeds," said Sarah Lowrey Ceccarelli, brand manager for Kashi. "Topped with flavorful sauces and savory vegetable combinations, our pizzas offer a delicious eating experience in every bite, in addition to providing the nutrition of whole grains, fiber, protein and ALA omega-3’s."
The new offerings have a wood-fired crust and 260 mgs of ALA omega-3 fatty acids in addition to 4 grams of fiber, 14 grams of protein and 11 grams of whole grains per serving. The existing line of Kashi frozen pizzas includes five cheese tomato, Mediterranean and roasted garlic flavors.
The pizzas are available in 11.9 to 12.3 oz offerings with three servings per pizza.
