MGPI announces additions to engineering staff

ATCHISON, KAS. — MGP Ingredients, Inc. has named Joe Wetter and Curtis Kipple to its engineering staff.
Mr. Wetter was named process engineer, with responsibility for supporting alcohol production teams as a technical resource at the company’s Atchison and Pekin, Ill., facilities.
Most recently, Mr. Wetter spent two years with Abengoa Bioenergy Corp. as a shift supervisor and plant engineer. Earlier, he was a process engineer for Harcros Chemical Inc. for six years. He also served in the Kansas Army National Guard.
He has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Kansas and is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
Mr. Kipple was named automation and controls engineer. In his new position Mr. Kipple will serve as a technical resource for the company’s Atchison facility automation and instrumentation systems.
Mr. Kipple previously was a project engineer for Wheatland Systems.
He received a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering with an embedded systems emphasis from Kansas State University.
