NORWALK, CONN. — Pepperidge Farm announced it has expanded its fruit cookie line with the launch of Montieri cookies and the introduction of two new Verona cookie flavors. Pepperidge Farm now offers consumers seven fruit cookie varieties.
According to Pepperidge, the new Montieri cookies are similar to tarts, with a flaky pastry lattice top and real fruit filling baked inside. The three new flavors are Apple Tart, Raspberry Tart and Peach Tart.
Pepperidge Farm also is expanding the Verona line by adding blueberry and apple caramel flavors. Verona cookies are little cookies with real fruit fillings. Currently, the cookies are available in strawberry and apricot raspberry.
"Pepperidge Farm is excited to be expanding our fruit cookie offerings," said Michael Simon, vice-president, general manager, Snacks. "We chose popular pie and tart flavors that we know consumers already enjoy and now with so many varieties to choose from, there’s something for everyone."
The new cookies will be available now at major supermarkets, grocery stores and mass merchandisers nationwide and have a suggested retail price of $3.19 per package.
