OAKLAND, CALIF. — The Skinny Cow, a brand owned by Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, a subsidiary of Nestle, S.A., has introduced Skinny Dippers, ice cream pops intended for the "better-for-you" ice cream category, according to the company.
Skinny Dippers feature three flavors: vanilla, caramel and mint. Each is dipped in chocolate and has 80 calories, no trans fatty acids and 3 grams of fat per pop.
"This new addition brings about another change in the tides to the overall ‘better-for-you’ ice cream category," said Diane McIntyre, senior public relations manager for Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream. "With nearly one-third of Americans on a diet, The Skinny Cow brand is thrilled to offer another great-tasting, fun snack option for dieters."
The new ice cream pops will be available nationwide in April and have a suggested retail price of $4.99.
