TraceAssured, a new Internet-based service, is designed for supply chain information exchanges from source to shelf.
"TraceAssured can strengthen traceability claims," said Ken Baird, chairman of TraceAssured Ltd., based in Ireland. "It collects, stores and presents information, through its specialist Internet-based service, on ingredient and packaging movements, transformation and quality from source to shelf, across the globe.
"The TraceAssured solution enables food supply organizations to work together to build and strengthen trust through transparency. It can add competitive edge through brand enhancement."
The system has been integrated into Moy Park plants. Moy Park, Ltd., Craigavon, Ireland, provides private label and branded products, including poultry products, to retail and food service customers across Europe. Also, Hewlett Packard has signed a global agreement with TraceAssured Ltd.
