Binder to human resources post at Hershey

HERSHEY, PA. — The Hershey Co. has named Charlene H. Binder as senior vice-president, chief people officer, effective March 24.

"Charlene is an outstanding addition to our team," said David J. West, president and chief executive officer. "She has a strong record of leadership across global consumer goods organizations with an extensive background in all aspects of human resources. Charlene will lead our continued efforts to develop the organization structure and talent to support Hershey’s global growth."

Ms. Binder has been with The Dannon Co. since January 2006 where she was vice-president of human resources for North America. Previous to that, she was senior-vice president of global human resources at Unilever Cosmetics International.

Ms. Binder will be responsible for global human resources, total compensation and benefits, corporate communications, flight operations and facilities management. She is replacing Marcella K. Arline, who is retiring.
