HOUSTON — Country Fresh, Inc. has opened a 55,000-square-foot processing plant in Hatfield, Pa., that will process the company’s full line of fresh food products and manage production of fresh-cut apples.
"We are excited to open the Hatfield plant to accommodate our ongoing growth and expand our presence in the northeast region," said Scott Silkwood, vice-president of operations. "Regional plants enable us to customize processing to local markets and allow for shorter lead times with more frequent deliveries, which mean customers get the freshest products."
Country Fresh has six full-line processing facilities in Florida, Iowa, South Carolina, Pennsylvania and Texas.
