TUCKER, GA. — Flowers Foods Specialty Group has introduced a new line of 10 premium pastries and cakes for the vending segment under the company’s Broad Street Bakery brand. The products, introduced in February and March, "bring a special new touch to old favorites," according to Flowers, including added sprinkles, frosting and cream filling.
"This is a collection of truly premium snacks made with the finest ingredients and baked to our high-quality standards," said Brent Bradshaw, Flowers’ brand manager. "We believe vending operators will be able to sell this new premium line of pastries at premium price-points."
The new product lineup includes: Double Chocolate Cupcakes, Chocolate Frosted Creme Cakes, Creme-Filled Carrot Stick Cakes, Jumbo Honey Buns, Gourmet Cinnamon Rolls, Rich Frosted Mini Donuts, Powdered Sugar Mini Donuts, Coconut Crunch Mini Donuts, Apple Turnovers, and Cinnamon Buns.
"These are portable, premium treats that have special appeal to adults," Mr. Bradshaw said. "Like all Flowers snacks they contain 0 grams of trans fat per serving. We have been very pleased with the vending community’s reception to the Broad Street Bakery line and are excited about the future growth and expansion of this brand."
