Merger to create Shoreline Fruit

TRAVERSE CITY, MICH. — Atwater Foods L.L.C. and Cherry Country FruitWorks L.L.C. have merged to form Shoreline Fruit L.L.C. effective April 1.

"This merger will enable us to further build our industrial customer base while bolstering our distributor and export business," said Randy Atwater, director of sales and marketing for Shoreline Fruit.

The new company headquarters will be in Traverse City, Mich., and will be part of a family of companies that grow and process a full line of cherry products. Specifically, Shoreline Fruit will specialize in developing processes that deliver cherry and other fruit products in the purest form possible.

Shoreline Fruit’s products will include dried cherries, apples, blueberries and cranberries as well as tart cherry concentrate and cherry powder.
