PHOENIX — NutraCea, a provider of stabilized rice bran, nutrient research and technology, has named Ken A. Mueller chief financial officer. He succeeds Todd Crow, who announced his intent to step down from the role on March 31. Mr. Crow has agreed to stay on as a consultant to ensure a smooth transition of his responsibilities to Mr. Mueller, NutraCea said.

Earlier, he worked at SafeNet Corp., Microsoft Business Solutions, Platinum Technology and Apple Computer.
"We are extremely pleased to have Ken join our organization," said Brad Edson, president of NutraCea. "His proven ability to work with management as they look to rapidly grow their business will be most valuable to us as we position NutraCea for its next stage of growth."
Mr. Mueller received a bachelor’s degree in organizational behavior at Northwestern University and a master’s degree in marketing at DePaul University. He is a Registered Certified Public Accountant under Illinois law.
