Mizkan acquires division of Imperial Brands

MT. PROSPECT, ILL. — Mizkan Americas, Inc. has purchase the Gourmet and Specialty Division of Imperial Brands Inc. The division markets a line of cooking wines, vinegars, wine reductions and other products for the food processing and food service industries.
"The acquisition of the specialty division of Imperial Brands further enhances the leadership position that Mizkan Americas currently enjoys as the preeminent marketer of liquid condiments in North America," said Craig Smith, president. "We are excited about the purchase as it results in tremendous synergies and much needed capacity in sales, operations and product development across our retail branded, food ingredients and food service businesses."
The Imperial transaction is the third acquisition for Mizkan Americas in the past three years. The company also recently purchased the Holland House brand of cooking wines from Mott’s LLP, and acquired Creole Fermentation of Louisiana.
