PHOENIX — NutraCea announced it will hold a grand opening ceremony at its Lake Charles, La., facility on June 6. The facility, which began production at the end of the first quarter, will add approximately 30,000 tonnes of annual capacity and will serve as a central distribution center for the company’s products.
"We are very pleased that our new facility is now on line and producing stabilized rice bran to service new and existing accounts," said Leo Gingras, chief operating officer. "Completion of this project further expands our presence in the southern U.S. rice growing region, which is an excellent shipping point for both domestic and overseas customers."
