PepsiCo acquires V Water

PURCHASE, N.Y. — PepsiCo has acquired V Water, a vitamin water brand in the United Kingdom.
"V Water provides us with a strong platform for expansion into a fast growing market and reflects PepsiCo’s global commitment to transforming our portfolio of products and extending our range of healthier beverages," said Garrett Quigley, general manager, PepsiCo U.K. and Ireland. "The U.K. is a key market for us, and we are extremely excited about developing a relationship with V Water in the U.K. that will enhance and contribute to the long-term growth of the V Water brand."
V Water was launched in 2005 and has a range of six flavors, all made with spring water and no artificial flavors, sweeteners, colors or preservatives. The line of products also contains some with added vitamins, minerals and herbal extracts.
PepsiCo also has reached a bottling agreement with Britvic P.L.C. to manufacture, sell and distribute V Water products in Great Britain.
