Total Concept, a new integrated approach to egg production and processing, comprises a range of products from DSM, based in The Netherlands. It is designed to deliver advantages at every stage of the egg production process, from animal nutrition to diagnostics and processing, according to DSM.
For example, Carophyll Check is a pack based on color quality standards and tools to increase the value of egg products. MaxapalA2 and MaxapalGO4, meanwhile, are fermentation-derived enzymes that may be added at the final stage of egg processing to improve whole egg and egg yolk emulsification properties and desugar egg products before spray drying.
"The introduction of our Total Concept is an industry first and underlines DSM’s commitment to the egg and poultry industry," said Theo Verleun, industry manager for DSM Food Specialties. For more information, visit www.dsm.com.
