Former food service executive to Fleishman-Hillard

KANSAS CITY — Laurie Ellison has joined Fleishman-Hillard as senior vice-president in Kansas City. Ms. Ellison is the former executive director of communications for Applebee’s International.
During her six years at Applebee’s, Ms. Ellison was responsible for corporate communications, governmental affairs and issues management. Applebee’s is the world’s largest casual dining concept with more than 1,900 restaurants in 49 states as well as 17 countries internationally.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Ellison held positions at Sprint, the Missouri office of the governor, the Missouri attorney general’s office, the Missourians for Ashcroft Committee, the Missouri Department of Health, the Missouri State Medical Association and Danforth for Senate.
