Alliance Grain Traders completes Tradewind purchase

TORONTO — Alliance Grain Traders Income Fund announced that its operating company, Alliance Pulse Processors Inc., has acquired Tradewind Commodities Ltd., a pulse and specialty crops processor located in Milestone, Sask., for C$2,900,000 ($2,749,000) in cash.

Alliance said Tradewind’s existing management will remain in place and the company will operate under the name Saskcan Milestone on behalf of Alliance.

Alliance, which is engaged in the business of sourcing and processing specialty crops, primarily for export markets, earlier this month completed the acquisition of Pulse Depot, a pulse and special crops processor located in Rosetown, Sask., for C$9,299,000.
