SIDNEY, OHIO — MaMa Rosa’s L.L.C. has introduced Lean Lifestyle, a line of health-oriented pizzas certified by the American Heart Association.
"As America becomes progressively overweight, heart disease and Type 2 diabetes are mounting," said Bill Mackin, MaMa Rosa’s president. "Consequently, many consumers are demanding healthier — and, often, ailment-specific food solutions. Lean Lifestyle can help food retailers capitalize on this trend by adding sales dollars to the frozen category and delivering incremental profits."
The large and two-pack frozen mini pizzas come in four varieties: low-fat cheese, turkey pepperoni, pepperoni-style and fire-roasted veggie. Each serving has less than 270 mg of sodium, no trans fat, saturated fat or cholesterol.
The suggested retail price for the two-pack single-serve option is $2.99, and the suggested price for the large pizzas is $5.99.
