Campbell to sell condiment business in France

CAMDEN, N.J. — Campbell Soup Co. has entered an agreement to sell its Generale Condimentaire business to Lesieur.

Lesieur is a company indirectly held by Sofiproteol, the financial arm of the French oilseed producers. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but closing is expected within the next few months. Campbell’s Generale Condimentaire business has sauces and mayonnaise products solder under the Lesieur brand in France, and has annual sales of about $70 million.
