Cantarell tapped to replace Polman at Nestle

VEVEY, SWITZERLAND — Luis Cantarell has been nominated by the Nestle board of directors to replace Paul Polman as executive vice-president and head of Zone Americas for the company. Mr. Polman recently left Nestle to become group chief executive of Unilever.
Mr. Cantarell was most recently head of Zone Europe for Nestle. Prior to that, he was responsible for Nestle’s nutrition business worldwide.
Nestle’s board of directors appointed Laurent Freixe, currently market head of the Iberian region for the company, to replace Mr. Cantarell as executive vice-president in charge of Zone Europe.
