Caribou Coffee names Tattersfield president, c.e.o.

MINNEAPOLIS — Caribou Coffee Co., Inc. has named Michael Tattersfield president and chief executive officer. He succeeds Rosalyn Mallet, who had been interim c.e.o. since November 2007.

Mr. Tattersfield has nearly 20 years of experience in finance, operations and general management within the restaurant and specialty retail industries. Most recently he was chief operating officer and executive vice-president of lululemon athletica, a yoga-inspired athletic apparel company. Earlier, he spent 13 years with Yum! Brands, including as c.e.o. and managing director of Puerto Rico for Kentucky Fried Chicken, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut; chief financial officer of Yum! Brand’s Mexico business; and president of A&W All American Food Restaurants.

He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting at Indiana University and a master’s degree in business administration at Harvard Business School.
