Corner Bakery adds to executive team

DALLAS — Three new individuals have been added to the executive management team at Corner Bakery Cafe, a fast-casual restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Richard Peabody has joined the company as chief financial officer. Mr. Peabody will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial performance as well as its information technology initiatives.
Prior to joining Corner Bakery he was executive vice-president and c.f.o. at Taco Bueno Restaurants, L.P. Earlier, he was c.f.o. for Romacorp, Inc., of Dallas, and Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc./Rally’s Hamburgers, Inc., of Tampa, Fla.
Paul Hicks has been promoted to vice-president of operations services where he will be responsible for oversight of all operational initiatives from a corporate perspective, collaborating with all home office departments and the operations leadership team.
Mr. Hicks joined Corner Bakery in 1998 as a restaurant manager, and was promoted to general manager in 1998 and area director in 2001. Most recently, he had been senior director of operations and director of catering. Prior to joining Corner Bakery he was district manager for Einstein Brothers Bagels.
Jeff Webb has been promoted to vice-president of operations. Mr. Webb joined Corner Bakery in 1998, and during the past 10 years has worked as general manager, area director and regional director for the Dallas, Chicago and California markets.
