General Mills launches new campaign for Chex cereal

MINNEAPOLIS — General Mills, Inc. has launched a new marketing campaign designed to reenergize its Chex Party Mix. In partnership with Reader’s Digest Association Food and Entertaining Affinity Integrated Sales and Marketing, General Mills will launch new packaging and new advertising for its Chex cereal. The campaign will highlight five 15 minute microwavable Chex Party Mix recipes as well as a search for the best Chex Party Mix recipe. The Original Chex Party Mix was introduced in 1955 by the wife of a Ralston Purina executive who brought the snack to a holiday party.
