iTi Tropicals, Lawrenceville, N.J., formed a strategic alliance with Sambazon Inc. for the bulk distribution of premium organic acai fruit pulp, juice and juice concentrate to food and beverage manufacturers in North America. Besides being a global supplier of retail acai products in the forms of juices, smoothies and supplements, Sambazon also is an industrial manufacturer of the antioxidant-rich fruit and has a facility in Brazil.

"Sambazon’s business model is built on the 3 Ps: planet, profitability and people," said Gert van Manen, president of iTi Tropicals. "This is very inspiring and iTi is proud to be representing a company driven by such precepts."

Sambazon, San Clemente, Calif., stands for "Sustainable Management of the Brazilian Amazon."
