Kellogg acquires IndyBake, Brownie Products assets

BATTLE CREEK, MICH. — The Kellogg Co. has acquired the assets of IndyBake Products L.L.C. and Brownie Products Co. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

"Expanding our snacks business is a key element of Kellogg’s business strategy and commitment to driving sustainable growth," said David Mackay, president and chief executive officer of Kellogg. "This acquisition will help us expand our capacity to manufacture existing and proprietary snacks products as well as enable new product innovations."

Combined revenue for IndyBake Products and Brownie Products was about $50 million in 2007. The baking products businesses two manufacturing facilities in Seelyville, Ind., and Gardner, Ill., will be integrated into Kellogg’s U.S. Snacks manufacturing network.
