Next Generation Organic Dairy offers probiotic cheese

MONDOVI, WIS. — Next Generation Organic Dairy has introduced a new line of gourmet, probiotic-fortified cheese and cheese sticks.
The organic cheese and cheese sticks will make their debut at the World Dairy Expo in Wisconsin, and distribution will begin in December. The products will be available in six flavors and come packaged in 8-oz packs, six individually wrapped 1-oz sticks, or single sticks. The flavors include Colby, cheddar, parsley cheddar, garlic parsley cheddar, Caribbean cheddar, and cilantro roasted garlic cheddar.
The cheese products are made with probiotic ingredient GanedenBC.
"Consumers want to know that when they are choosing a probiotic food product that there are enough live cells and that those cells are going to provide benefits," said Andy Lefkowitz, chief executive officer of Ganeden Biotech, the manufacturer of GanedenBC. "GanedenBC is superior to other probiotics not only in terms of its survivability before it is consumed but also in that it can survive and thrive where it can do the most good once in the body."
