ST. LOUIS — Sensient Food Colors Inc. will release its Fusion Precise Natural Color Systems to the industry on Oct. 1. The company said the Fusion brand is a culmination of Sensient’s global expertise and technical capabilities for obtaining colors from natural sources, shade development, color system manufacture and product application.
"Color is a driving factor in consumer choice for foods and beverages, and natural color usage currently offers fewer shade and vibrancy options to product developers and managers," said St. Louis-based Sensient Food Colors, a unit of Sensient Technologies Corp. "Fusion opens up new opportunities and solutions to the market place, delivering clean, consumer-friendly label declarations coupled with vibrant and consistent natural color options that food and beverage processors have been seeking."
Fusion eliminates unwanted odors and off flavors, according to Sensient. The colors may work in multiple categories, including beverage, bakery, dairy and confectionery. The web site www.sensientfoodcolors.com will support the launch of Fusion.
